January 15, 2012 will mark a very important day for our amazing team and our ever growing business. We will launch our decor company to the public. We will also launch our wedding and event planning services “Simple Solution”.

Only 3 years ago we started with a dream and a love for wedding gowns. We have realized that decor and planning are the beginning of every wedding. Our ever growing client base has taught us the importance of the planning process and this is why we have taken the steps to offer these amazing services.

Katharina and her team are WPIC Certified and are looking forward to sharing all their amazing expertise with our valued clients.

Katharina’s love for the bridal industry (her dream was to offer quality and passion into this industry in PEI) and her love of taking risk have allowed our team to push themselves to learn and enjoy their careers. She has never wavered in her passion and has built an amazing reputation in a very short time. She will continue to push her comfort level and expand the services we offer the community. Our young energetic team is passionate and knowledgeable and understands “What’s hot and what’s not!” in this ever evolving industry.

Kendra is a wonderful asset to our amazing team. Her kindness and understanding will put your mind at ease the moment you enter our boutique. She is also in the process of certifying herself as a Wedding Specialist and Wedding Commissioner. We would like to welcome all upcoming brides and grooms who may be looking for this service in 2012 to come in and meet her.

We are also looking forward to the return of our amazing Alteration Specialist in the New Year. Kim has been off for the last year recovering from a serious illness and is all set to return to her 1st love, brides and gowns. Her passion and talents in this area are amazing assets to all brides to be. Her vision and creativity are leading the alteration specialty. The time and focus spent on each gown shows through time and time again.

We have also added a junior consultant, Samantha. Her love of dresses will amaze you. Her dream is to add her talents in makeup application to our list of services in the next few years.

We are so happy to offer our clients a full service location for all your wedding and event needs.

Our mission for 2012 is clear. We will focus solely on building the ultimate bridal experience from Wedding Gowns to Wedding Décor. Yes we agree that there can be pros to ordering online. Such as more selection and cheaper in cost.

The cons out weigh the pros
One of the many cons is the fact that you do not know by the picture provided that it is the actual product. You may be really surprised by the product you receive. Online companies have the right to send you any product. Read the small print!
Properly sizing your body is another. 90% of women think that there waist is where there pants sit. So not true. What they mean is they are looking for your natural waist which is the smallest part 2 inch above your belly button.
Different fabrics fit different. In Satin you might fit size 10 but in a chiffon or organza you most likely will be a size larger.
You cannot tell the structure of the gown by the picture. Structure is 100% important this will ensure the best fit.
You should order by the largest part of your body. No women measurements are the same in the bust as they are in the hips. If your bust is larger in size and your hips are small. Order by your bust measurements. If your hips measure larger than you bust please order to fit your hips. Have the gown altered my a seamstress.
If you order a gown with a band you must order a size larger. As the band fabric is 90% of the time cut and does not allow for the gown to be let out.
Seam allowance is another important point. When you order online there is never a seam allowance provided in the gown. What this means is. Ordering to small or gain even 5 pounds the gown cannot be altered to fit your body.
Many companies have return polices “yes” but the shipping 90% of the time is more than the cost of the gown. This is done so that you do not return and maybe you will just purchase another gown.
The stress that can be involved is big. We see stress everyday and I cannot imagine why ordering online for formal wear is done.
So many things can go wrong. You might never receive the product, it might not fit, and it may not even look like the picture and be a completely different gown. The cost of shipping the product back may cost equal to the gown or many even cost more.
